Dreams Coming True
So I got my first online teaching job with California Virtual Academy. I will be teaching high school Web Design and I can't wait! My official start date is Monday. I guess it's time to look for a new badge. :-)

Badge 1 - Dare to Dream
What is your dream?
This was a fun exercise because I enjoyed the trot down memory lane on all of the dreams I have already accomplished. Now I'm finding it a little difficult to write my dreams for the world to see. I guess writing about them makes me a little more accountable than leaving my list in the little flowered notebook next to my bed. I have also discovered that when taken out of my own fantasy my "dreams" sound a little child-like and therefore not something worth pursuing. I find myself fighting the need to "be a responsible adult". So I'm letting myself off of the hook. These are dreams right, and therefore possibilities? I like the sound of possibilities better than dreams. Seems more adult-like.
Dream - my dream is to have flexibility. I want to keep an apartment somewhere, but spend most of the year traveling, staying with friends and family and seeing more of the world. I'm working to find online teaching jobs because I think that would be a great combination of my skill set and my dreams.
Well there it is...please keep your snickers to yourself. :-) There's nothing wrong with a dream.
